Voila!!!...today is friday..TGIF for satisfaction of a casual attire in office. No more strutting office in heels (although i just love wearing heels). The feeling this morning was awesome. Decided to wear my favorite pink sneakers to office today. I paired them with blue jeans, a beige n white striped sweater and a blue scarf. The outfit looked perfect..specially my pink shoes. Was happy as atleast 5 people in office complimented my shoes.
Suddenly started thinking that is everything in sync. Felt the need to brush up my understanding of the right kind of shoes for each outfit. So here it is for you guys (and for me of course)..THE GUIDE TO THE RIGHT SHOE (it rhymes..i love it). 1. See the color Try to match the color of the shoe to your outfit (but don't be a matching card). It should be a soothing match. Like a bright shoe with a plain colored dress or vice versa. Select standard colors for office and professional setups. 2. Heels Heels definitely help elongate your legs, so feel free to wear high heels with skirts and pencil pants. Avoid ankle straps if you have short legs. Don't wear overly high heels if you are not comfortable walking in them (obviously you don't want to be missing on all the fun). 3. Flats Pair flats with knee length, above knee skirts, capri pants or shorts. Flats with long skirts can make you look old. Avoid flats with skinny pants, they may make you look disproportionate. 4. Boots Boots are a girls best friend, because they can be paired with a skirt or jeans with equal glamour. You can also work them around with a cute day dress. 5. Shoes for season Choose right shoe for right season. You can wear any kind of shoes in spring. Can be as creative and experimental. Wear light shoes in summers like sandals. Choose practical shoes for winter. Fall is flexible, but try to avoid sandals and other open shoes. Today's time is for contrast, you can be as experimental as you want to be. Anyways, sky is the limit for shoes. But just remember one thing, be comfortable in your shoes. The more comfortable you shoe makes you, the more right goes your day. Like mine.
